To help you prepare for a smooth and enjoyable trip, we’ve gathered some important and helpful information for you to review before you depart. Taking a moment to go over these details will ensure you're well-prepared and ready to make the most of your upcoming adventure.
Entry into Dominican Republic- All passengers are required to fill out an E-Ticket or paper form when entering or exiting the Dominican Republic. If using E-Ticket, a new form is required for each entry and exit and the code generated upon form completion can be presented at the airport on a digital device.
Visitors must have a ticket entering and leaving the country, the financial means to pay for their stay, and an address in the Dominican Republic where they will be staying.
Fast Pass at Airport- The PUJ Airport does have a fast track system if you are interested. They even have a pool in their lounge so if you purchase be sure to have suit handy on way home :) See the link below!
Imagine escaping from the stress and chaos of security lines and crowded departure halls to a sanctuary where you can relax, unwind or catch up with the office, all while immersed in warm Jamaican hospitality and culture. Heads up for UK-bound travelers in 2025!
As of, January 8, 2025, all travelers to the UK must complete an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)—think of it as a quick, electronic visa.
Key Details:
Official Site: Apply for an ETA here (avoid third-party sites that
charge extra!):
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta
Cost: £10 GBP ($12 USD).
Validity: 2 years or until the attached passport expires.
Pro Tip: Travelers must apply before boarding flights, though approval isn't strictly required pre- flight—airlines may enforce this, so better safe than sorry. Insider Hack: If using the mobile app, US travelers should scan the inside of the back cover of their passport (not the front) to read the NFC chip. Hold your phone steady on the last page, and you're set!
Fast & Easy: You can complete the process in minutes. Approval often comes back quickly—ours took under 5 minutes!
Housekeeping:
$3-5 a day
Dinner:
$2-4 per person (server style),
$2-3 per person (buffet style)
Tours:
$5 per person for Excursion guide (1 day)
$5 per person each for Amstar site inspection driver and
guide ($10/day x 2 days)
5 per direction for Amstar transfer (training day)
European Packing List and Tips!
Here are some of my “Must Have’s” when traveling to Europe:
Credit card- Be sure to call your credit card company to make sure your credit card is able to be used in Europe.
Currency- I’d suggest going to your back a few weeks prior and orders some local currency for tipping. You will be able to use your cc almost everywhere but it’s nice to have some cash on you too! If you run out of cash ONLY go to a local bank in destination to minimize transaction fees.
Cell phone- if you plan on using your cell phone while in Europe call your cell phone provider before you go and have an international plan added!
